Assembly wasn't difficult. The adjustable screw legs on the bottom could use some improving, but that's a small gripe. As for operation this smoker makes life very easy. The digital display on top gives you a great idea of your current temperature, especially for those of us who start our smoking before the sun comes up. The setup for inserting more wood chips is fantastic. You get a nice consistent smoke. I've cooked 4 chickens, 3 pork roasts, a brisket and 4 racks of ribs in this smoker and everything came out perfect. REVIEWS..........
